Junette’s journey as a model started quite accidentally, but it was also perfectly poised for when the fashion and advertising worlds were tired of unattainable, unsustainable role models occupying every square inch of ad space. Junette came hurtling in, unapologetic, authentic, outspoken and wildly witty; challenging the status quo of beauty standards.

We will go as far as to say she became a hero for many, an aspirational yet absolutely relatable spokesperson for women who were tired of feeling less than their airbrushed counterparts and a reminder to all genders that beauty really does glow from within and is made up of far more than gravity defying curves, perky bosoms and tiny waistlines. She epitomises the adage that confidence exudes beauty in all its forms and self love is the freedom we all deserve. She hasn’t deprived herself of living her best beach body life just because society has predetermined what a woman should look like in a bikini.
